At MindKind, beyond individual counselling sessions, we are passionate about the benefits Group Therapy can bring. Connecting with others who are going through a similar lived experience can help remove the feelings of isolation allowing you to cost effectively implement weekly practices aimed at delivering a long term change to your wellbeing. Our programs include empirically based psychotherapeutic techniques to reduce your symptoms of anxiety, depression or worry and support you in bringing calm and happiness to your life.
Our Mindful Happiness Program runs for 8 weeks incorporating mindfulness-based cognitive therapy for stress release and to help you recognise and step away from your ruminating, negative thought patterns plus the latest in happiness research. The goal is to prevent relapse in people experiencing anxiety or depression. Each session includes a mindfulness practice to encourage you to observe your thoughts without judgement, a longer meditation session and skills to practice at home. Themes covered include automatic thinking versus conscious awareness, relief from a scattered mind or unpleasant thoughts, acceptance, living in the moment,
self-compassion and embracing growth rather than avoiding the life you desire for yourself. We explore where these thought patterns have come from and how you
achieve the freedom and happiness you are seeking.

Our Midlife Mindfulness - Menopause Program runs for 4 weeks creating a supportive space to share and shine, allowing you to thrive as you move into your next life phase. The program covers ways to reduce the anxiety, racing mind and brain fog that comes with menopause with techniques for gaining a better night's sleep, healthy eating habits, reviewing alcohol tolerance and building strength from exercise. Mindfulness practices and extended meditations are shared weekly. We work through acceptance and how you finally stop worrying about what others think, delivering you the freedom to embrace your future self.

Our Midlife Mindfulness - Life! Program runs for 4 weeks combining mindfulness for stress release, scientifically endorsed cognitive behaviour therapy and the latest in happiness thinking. Midlife can bring a multitude of concurrent stressors including adapting to life's changes such as marriage and relationship breakdown,
single parenting, teenage children, empty nesting, aging parents, physical health concerns, loss of friendships or family, balancing work-life demands, work or dwelling insecurity, financial pressures, or dealing with experiences of abuse. Unsurprisingly, this can leave you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed and depleted with low self-esteem. The value of the group's lived experience helps remove your feelings of isolation as we incorporate advanced therapeutic & neuroscience-based calming and coping techniques to bring acceptance and happiness back into your life. Sessions also include a mindfulness practice, meditation and skills for home practice. This compassionate, guilt free environment encourages forgiveness, self-acceptance, and a way to build happiness for your next life-stage.

Our Burnt Out, Not Broken Program runs for 4 weeks and will start your journey to reversing your state of mental, physical, and emotional exhaustion. We will explore what leads to burnout, be it prolonged work demands, lack of recognition, relationship support or lifestyle issues and look towards a purpose that will re-energise you. We combine a number of therapeutic techniques. Acceptance & commitment therapy to help you think flexibly, accept what you can't control and focus on actions that will enrich your life. We also use mindfulness-based cognitive therapy for stress release and to help you challenge negative thinking patterns, setting boundaries and goals to relieve your stress. We teach you mindfulness and meditation techniques to help you physically relax throughout the program and beyond.

Our Mindful Mama's Program runs for 8 weeks combining mindfulness for stress release, interpersonal psychotherapy and cognitive behaviour therapy to support feelings of sadness, irritability, lethargy, disconnection, trauma or postnatal depression. We help you work through your emotional concerns so you can identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and how they connect to your feelings and behaviour. We focus on understanding how your emotions affect relationships and how to lean on loved ones for support to relieve your anxiety. We centre on issues with sleep and healthy eating habits. Each session includes a mindfulness practice, a longer meditation session and skills to implement at home. The supportive nature of the group helps you realise you are not alone and offers a safe space for you to share.

Our 65+ Sunrise Program runs for 8 weeks combining mindfulness to help relieve anxiety and cognitive behaviour therapy to slow ruminating worries or depression for those suffering as age brings new challenges. Each session includes a calming mindfulness exercise, a longer meditation session for complete relaxation and skills to practice at home. Themes covered include how to stop the automatic thinking patterns and constant worry, relief from a busy, scattered mind or unpleasant thoughts, living with grief, acceptance and love for who you are and all you've achieved so far, living for now and welcoming happiness in. The group modality is especially valuable for connection, meeting others in a similar situation and removing feelings of isolation.
